Performance Testing

Having a clear picture of your performance physiology leads to better decision making in terms of where to focus your energy to improve what you want to improve. We offer a range of performance testing options which are appropriate for cyclists and runners, regardless of their level or experience. After the test a detailed report of your results are produced and we take the time to go through this with you and translate the data into information that you can use to execute your training with precision.

Tyme Wear Testing.

I use the Tyme Wear shirt to measures your breathing. With their technology it’s possible to record your rate of ventilation and the volume of air that moves in and out of your lungs as you exercise.

With the Tyme Wear smart shirt we can determine at which power and heart rate you reach your VO2max as well as the intensities where your body transitions from the moderate to heavy exercise domain and from the heavy to severe exercise domain.

In order to capture the most relevant data possible, I can individualize the testing protocol to suit the athlete’s need.

Power Profiling & Critical Power.

Critical power testing is a comprehensive assessment that strategically evaluates various points on your power duration curve. By measuring maximal sprint power alongside power outputs for durations of 3 minutes, 8 minutes, and 12 minutes, we can determine your critical power. This metric signifies the optimum sustainable rate of aerobic metabolism during exercise. Going beyond critical power levels leads to unsustainable intensities and can push you to reach your VO2 max threshold.
